2 Wonderful Years June 24th, 2008

Happy 2nd Anniversary to my sweetie! I can't believe that is has already been 2 years. Time flies when your with the one you love. What a joyful first few years together...couldn't have wished for anything more--a wonderful marriage to a man I'm SO in love with, a cute little house to fix up, good health & the most darling little boy. Life is great, I feel so blessed.

Matt took me out to celebrate our anniversary at Franck's, a gorgeous little restaurant on the Tuscany property. We ate out on the patio and just had a lovely evening under the trees. We shared memories of our wedding day and remembered what a great time it truly was! We dined on mushroom tarts, french bread, roasted chicken & homemade gnocchi. Delicious. Thanks for such a wonderful evening, and thanks to mom for watching little Felix. I look forward to many more years together...can't wait!

Here are a few pics from our wedding, and a funny video from our Honeymoon in Cabo!

Shuckin Rock

Wow, the past few years have been full of blood, sweat, & tears while working on our front yard. When we first bought the house it was full of half dead grass, giant man-eating weeds, and wild 5' tall rose bushes. We ripped the rose bushes out with the help of Jaason Stull's Blazer & the Guymon's caterpillar...couldn't have done it without the help. Matt spent many days last year digging out all the grass and weeds. Over the winter the front was just dirt...better than weeds I say. So.....whoop, whoop, we have been working our little tails off getting the front in ship-shape. Well, Matt has been working a lot more than I. I've been doing more on the veggie garden and back yard. He installed a drip system, planted everything and shucked all the rock (& Peter!) into the landscaping. This is all really Matt's design and hard work...I just gave the okay on some ideas. Oh, and shucking rock means shoveling rock, not some sort of golf term...(Kate). Here are a few pics of the progress!

So In Love

I can't even begin to express my feelings I have for Felix. I absolutely LOVE being a mommy. It's everything I ever hoped and prayed for...it's what I was meant to do. Yes, it is difficult at times, but it's SO worth it. Felix is a mother's dream. I can take him anywhere with little fussing, he sleeps through the night, naps during the day & is just so dang adorable! I get crowds of people around him where ever we go. Tonight Felix was kicking on the bed and was such a happy boy. Lots of big smiles! I grabbed his arms up over his head and said "so big" and kissed him on the neck. He squealed in delight and made some giggling sounds. My heart just melted...it was the best sound ever. He has laughed before, but not like this!! Matt is so cute with Felix, I love seeing the two of them together. Matt can't wait to take him to his first soccer game, and dreams about the day when they can fish together...oh, and don't forget taking him to play his first round of golf! Felix will be very busy. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful little family. I smile and my heart sings with happiness everyday.
