Lots-O-Cousin's
Isn't this the greatest picture? 4 little boys under the age of one on the Bernhisel side of the family. Things are going to be WILD in a few years with these four boys running around together. I look forward to family trips up to the cabin in Bear Lake, and next summer in South Carolina will be a blast.
My cousin Caroline Allred Stewart with her little boy Jack (8 months), My cousin James's wife Suzannah Allred with her little boy Colter (3 months), My sister Heather Theurer with her little boy Carter (9 months) & me and Felix!!
3 Weeks Old!
I can't believe it's already been 3 weeks since Felix arrived! It's gone by fast, but also kinda slow. He is moving his head around really good, and we do "tummy time" every day to strengthen those neck muscles. I'm trying to get plenty of rest these days, which can be rather hard to come by sometimes. I feel so thankful that Felix is a good baby and hardly ever fusses, and when he does- it's short lived. He's up usually twice a night to nurse and goes back to sleep easily. But...there are those nights that he isn't as nice! I love him so much, I can't even stand it. Looking forward to the upcoming weeks.

Felix
Felix was born on February 4th, 2008 at 8:32pm. He weighed in at 5 lbs. 10 oz. (just a little guy!)
Oh my goodness...I can't believe I have a week and 4 days old baby! What a whirlwind this past week has been. I've never felt so much love for a person before in my life. I mean, I love Matt...but looking down at Felix, my heart just melts. It was a long road to finally have Felix, so I'm enjoying every day and every challenge. Felix is such a good baby! He just hangs out and relaxes. He even is a good sleeper at night, so I'm feeling rested. Breast feeding has been interesting....we are still figuring it all out! Matt is the best daddy ever. He is an expert swaddler and changes diapers with ease. I just love my boys...when I see Matt holding Felix I can't help but have a little tear in my eye. I've had lots of tears this past week. I hear a cute song and the water-works start flowing! The birth of our son has really brought Matt and I closer together on even a deeper level. You seriously bond with your husband during the birth, and the weeks after. I don't know what I would do without Matt!! I've been nervous about things, but have learned to just let go, and know that I'll figure everything out as I go along. This is such a fun and exciting time...I look forward to every second. Life is good!
Happy Valentines Day 2008
Whew....glad V-Day is over! It has been a wild week trying to pull together arrangements for Valentines Day. I never realized how much harder things were going to be with a newborn baby. Felix had his first taste of flower slinging. I hauled him around to process flowers, make arrangements, and he even went with me on a delivery! Next month he will be cleaning roses and scrubbing buckets! I don't think I would have attempted V-Day flowers if I would have known I would deliver 2 weeks early. But oh well, I took the risk and ordered flowers. All in all it was a good Valentines Day. I had many beautiful flowers come in, and it was a nice distraction putting together arrangements. Thanks to my sisters for help, and to Peter who was my delivery man. Matt and I didn't have a quite romantic evening together.... instead, the Theurer's came over and brought us dinner! It was so much fun having them over. I love having my nephews around, and can't wait until Felix is big enough to play. Love, love, love to all!
