Ashlie in Ecuador

I wanted to post some cool pics that Ashlie sent from her trip in Ecuador. She is there doing a humanitarian internship, working her bunz off. I'm so proud of her! This is some excerpts for one of her emails...
"Hola todos, I am sorry that I haven’t written in a while. On Sunday I returned from Baños, a small city about an hour from Riobamba. Baños means bathroom or bath, and this city got this name due to the hot springs that it has turned into a huge public hot tub. The hot water is supplied by Mnt. Tung which is still a very active volcano. The city is beautiful, and much cleaner than it is here. At the same time it has a lot more tourism and therefore everything was twice the price. I had a blast though. The city is surrounded by the volcano and other towering mountains that seem to carry a constant mist. In fact it is was so cloudy that we actually never were able to view the volcano. The city is also famous for its taffy which they make out on the street. The taffy is actually quite repulsive in my opinion but it was fun to watch them make it."

Did you know that the Bernhisel family is one of the most amazing musical families of all time? Yes, that is correct. Check out this amazing video of our new family band- The Moki Marbles. Peter is on the didgeridoo, Matt on the guitar & lead vocals, Sarah on Hand flute, Natalie on back-up vocals, Ben on wooden utensils, Kurt on the cactus rain-maker. I'm seriously been so sad. The past week or so my iphoto has been acting crazy. I have some great photos to post, but I can't! Peter where are you!? I think he might be coming over tonight to fix it...live saver.

Down South-Robinson Style

We had such a fun weekend last week. Matt, Felix and I drove down to St. George to meet Matt's parents who drove in from Denver. We had such a fun time! We went to Zion National Park, hiked in Snow Canyon, ate lots of yummy food (IN N' OUT BURGER is in St. George!!) & just had a fun time visiting with Bill and Barbara. They were both so happy to get their hands on Felix!! Felix is quite the trooper, we hauled him around everywhere. He will be an expert hiker/traveler by the time he is a year old.
